2009-2010 Pre-Medical Society Officers
President: Elizabeth Tolar
Howdy! My name is Elizabeth Tolar, and I will be serving you as your 2009-2010 President of this fine organization. I am a senior from Lafayette, Louisiana, and am a double major in Nutrition and Kinesiology. When I am not in class or at WCL, I spend lots of my time pounding the pavement because I am currently training for the Dallas White Rock marathon this coming December. I ran the Armadillo Dash half marathon here in College Station this past March and have gotten the race bug. For this organization, I will be running the meetings and overseeing all of our events. I look forward to getting to know all of you and guiding you through the path to medical school this year, and please feel free to come talk to me wherever you see me! I also am deeply involved at the Baptist Student Ministry. Because of my God, I am where I am today and how I will be a physician in 5 more years. How exciting will it be to serve Him every day through my practice! If you have any questions feel free to ask me about Him!
Vice President: Colin Noe
Howdy, my name is Colin Noe and I am the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2010. I am majoring in Biology with Minors in Spanish and Philosophy. Currently I plan on graduating in December of 2010 and then going on a sabbatical as a river rafting guide for my 6 months until medical school begins. In the meantime, I enjoy many things. Mainly just being myself is my main focus. I study a lot, but I also love to read for fun, to play frisbee, to go fishing and hunting, to do water sports, and to do triathlons. This upcoming year, I plan on doing some interesting things for you guys. I'm going to focus more than has been focused in prior years on current health care debates because it is becoming such a pertinent question in interviews. I also just want to make myself available to any pre-meds for questions, and more importantly, for just being a friend. Feel free to email me, and DEFINITELY come check out the awesome meetings this year.

My Name is Wally Elrafie and I am a Biology major from Katy, TX. This is my last year here at A&M and I intend on making it the best that it can be. I will be this years secretary and will strive to be as active and helpful as humanly possible. I have taken all the premed classes, the MCAT, and applied to medical school. My goal is to help all you premed hopefuls make it to your desired careers. If you want my philosophy on the MCAT, want to know how I studied for any prerequisite course, want to talk medical school, or just want to discuss life, I'm here for you. I'm a very open and outgoing individual and look forward to meeting all of you. We are all in this incredible organization together and I encourage you to come and talk to me, I would like to know each and every one of our members personally. Just like most of you, my passion is medicine. I love every aspect of the field and put all my hard work and effort so that I can do the one thing I love for the rest of my life. We all get tired of studying and sometimes mentally fed up and frustrated but you guys must always remember why we do this. We work hard so that someday we can do what it is we love and through good times and bad times we must not lose focus of the final outcome. Let's have the best year premed society has ever seen!
Membership Director: Kristin Jung
Howdy! My name is Kristin Jung, (no, I’m not Asian J, my last name is pronounced “young” – it’s German.) I am a BIMS major, class of 2012. I am from Marble Falls, TX; thus, being from the Hill Country, I enjoy deer hunting and fishing, but I also enjoy being out on the water, whether that be the lake or the ocean. I study pretty hard, but I like to have a good time too! I am very excited about this upcoming year and the things we have planned, but I am most excited to meet you members! (And reunite with old friends. J) Please don’t be shy – come introduce yourself, ask questions, lament over a ridiculously hard test you just took…or rejoice over one you just aced, just come talk to me! That’s what we’re here for – we aren’t “high & mighty” officers of the Pre-Med Society, just glorified members who want to be your friend and help you in any way we can.
